On the fifth day of the Cricket World Cup, the Netherlands won the toss and decided to field against New Zealand in the only match played at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad, India.
New Zealand scored 322 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated over while playing first.
Willing scored 70 runs on behalf of the Kiwi team, Kiwi captain Tom Latham scored 53 runs and Richan Ravindra scored 51 runs. Apart from them, Daryl Mitchell scored 48 runs and Dion Conway scored 32 runs, Mark Chapman scored 5 runs and Glenn Phillips scored 4 runs.

The Netherlands team was bowled out for 223 runs in the 47th over. Player of the match Santner also gave a brilliant performance in bowling after batting and hunted five Dutch players for 59 runs. This was New Zealand's second consecutive victory in the event. .
It should be noted that this was the second match of the two teams in the World Cup, Netherlands had lost to Pakistan in the first match while New Zealand had defeated England by 9 wickets in the first match of the tournament.
