ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani says that Israel is committing genocide against the poor people of Palestine and Pakistan's position regarding Palestine is connected to the past.

Jalil Abbas Jilani, while giving a press conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that a special meeting of the OIC will be held on October 18 in Jeddah, in which the Foreign Minister of Pakistan will participate. The OIC meeting will discuss the implementation of the cease-fire, and finding a solution to the Palestinian issue in the Middle East is indispensable.

He said that Pakistan always has a clear stand on the issue of Palestine, Israel has been committing atrocities on Palestinians for more than 6 decades, Israel is genocidating the poor people of Palestine, people in Gaza have neither water nor food. We condemn the siege of Gaza.

He said that Israel should respect the United Nations resolutions regarding Palestine, we are in contact with the United Nations for humanitarian aid in Gaza, we are also in contact with Saudi Arabia.

Jalil Abbas Jilani said that there has been no change in Pakistan's policy towards Israel, Pakistan wants an independent Palestinian state with pre-1967 borders, Al-Quds al-Sharif as its capital, it is necessary to look at the root causes of the Palestinian conflict. has continued to settle on Palestinian land, there is no change in Pakistan's position on the issue of Israel, Pakistan's position on Palestine remains the same as in the past.

In response to a question, the supervising foreign minister said that Saudi Arabia is a very important country in the Middle East, the Muslim Ummah and the region. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are part of very important consultations on all important issues. Key cooperation with Saudi Arabia is also ongoing.

CPEC will not be slowed down: Caretaker Foreign Minister
Jalil Abbas Jilani said about the Prime Minister's visit to Beijing that Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar Haq Kakar is visiting on the invitation of the Chinese President. In the meeting, issues of mutual interest will also be discussed with the Chinese leadership.

He said that on the occasion of the caretaker prime minister's visit to China, meetings will also be held with world leaders, memorandums of understanding on agriculture, green energy and other issues will also be signed, and the possibilities of further cooperation in various fields will also be reviewed. The Prime Minister's visit will further enhance mutual cooperation between China and Pakistan.

The caretaker foreign minister said that after spending two days in Beijing, the prime minister will visit Xinjiang, where he will also address Xinjiang University and meet with businessmen.

He said that talks on CPEC are going on with China, there are problems due to external reasons regarding security on the CPEC issue, but despite this, CPEC will not be slowed down, but the China-Pakistan Corridor project will be accelerated. will be put on the way.
